The executive team met at the indoor range on June 16, and welcomed Graham Parminter as the club’s new Black Powder director. President Richard Stewart is working with Don on getting the 200-yard range construction approved, aiming for a baffle-free design, and is looking at ways to add more shooting positions on the 600.
The club reported $66,252.90 in cash and $10,694.65 in a GIC, for a total of $76,947.55. Membership is up to about 470 for the year, and property taxes are paid ($1,171.32 for the indoor range, $923.21 for the outdoor range).
The Christy Smith shoot was a highlight, and Action Shooting’s annual double header brought out 45 shooters and roughly 13,000 rounds fired, including 10 lady shooters. Trap has its Pita 300 tournament coming July 12, and Multigun expects around 20 shooters for its July 19 IDPA event. Updated range bylaws are still under review and won’t move again until September, and members are reminded not to shoot when the range-closed sign is up.
