Section – Centrefire Rifle

The centre piece of the Centrefire Rifle section is our 600 yard range where members and guests can shoot at targets between 100 and 600 yards.

The range can be used by hunters getting ready for the season, reloaders testing new loads for accuracy and competitive shooters.

Over the past 4 years, the range has been modified and rebuilt to the exacting standards of the office of the Chief Firearms Officer with an emphasis on safety.

To shoot by yourself on the range you must be a member of the CRGC and have taken the range orientation (orientation details here).

A benchrest competition is held the second Sunday of every month regardless of weather conditions where guests are welcome but if you want to shoot in competition, please no muzzle brakes.

New shooters are welcome; you will find our members always willing to help.

The range firing point is covered and enclosed on 3 sides with a warming room and a wood fired stove to keep us warm in cold weather with 14+ benches to shoot from.

The 200 Metre Range is in the planning stages.
