Every aspect of club management, from daily operations to long-term planning, is overseen by an executive and board of directors who volunteer their time with no financial compensation. This commitment to volunteering is what keeps the club thriving and ensures members and guests have a safe environment for all shooting sports.

Leadership and Volunteering
Our executive and directors are everyday members of the community (shooters, coaches, parents, and outdoor enthusiasts) who step forward to guide the club. Like many non-profit sporting societies across Canada, their rewards are not financial but come from camaraderie, seeing new shooters build confidence, and helping the club evolve to meet new challenges. No one on the board receives a salary or honorarium, and every hour spent is a labour of love for the shooting sports.
The Ongoing Need for Volunteers
Running a busy multi-discipline gun club depends not just on the executives and directors, but on all members chipping in. Volunteers ensure the club’s ranges are well-maintained, events are safely run, and newcomers are warmly welcomed. Other non-profit Canadian shooting clubs routinely highlight needs in these areas and the CRGC is no different:
Range Maintenance: Regular cleanups, mowing, target stand repairs, and snow clearing.
Event Coordination: Helping with competitions, scoring matches, facilitating registration, and providing hospitality.
Training and Coaching: Assisting with junior programs, mentoring new shooters, and running safety orientations.
Administrative Support: Membership record-keeping, communications, social media updates, and grant writing.
Special Projects: Improvements to facilities, fundraising, building new shooting bays, or supporting capital campaigns.
